Public Enemies is the biography of John Dillinger (
Depp) the bank robber of the 1930's. After Dillinger has become public enemy number one, the FBI agent Melvin Purvis (
Bale) is set on catching him, so he sets up the best team he can find including Charles Winstead (
Lang). Meanwhile Dillinger meets Billy Frechette (
Cotillard) and falls in love.
Public Enemies has some good moments but the characters seem to be a bit one dimensional. The film does not go into detail about any of the characters an instead focuses on what happened.
