Thor is another origin film made in anticipation for The Avengers. The Norse Gods come from the land of Asgard where Thor (Hemsworth) is the hot headed son of king Odin (Hopkins). When he attacks some frost giants without permission, he sentenced to earth without his powers in order to learn what is right and what is wrong. Unfortunately his brother Loki (Hiddleston) has different ideas.

Thor is a fun flick with a sense of humour that one needs when taking on quite a ridiculous premise. The story ties in with The Avengers a lot more than Captain America or Iron Man as the villain remains the same. All the actors do well and Thor looks to be quite a promising little franchise.
