The Third Man (1949)

Director: Carol Reed
Starring: Joseph Cotten, Alida Valli, Trevor Howard, Orson Wells
Certificate: PG
Genre: Mystery, Thriller, Noir
Awards: Best Cinematography

Novelist Holly Martins (Cotten) has been invited to Vienna by his friend Harry Lime. But when he arrives he finds out that Harry has been killed in a car accident, but not all seems right. He is told by Harry's friends that two men helped him off the road but an eyewitness says that there is a third man. Fixed o finding this mysterious figure, Holly starts to upset allot of people.

The Third Man is a well done mystery film with an enticing story and good acting. You cannot tell what will happen in the end until you watch it. The music is also great companion to the film (although it reminds me of Spongebob Squarepants).

****Good
